Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
Welcome to Halal Harmony. By accessing or using our platform (website and any associated services), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 14 years of age to create an account on Halal Harmony. By registering, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement.
The platform is intended for Muslims who are sincere about seeking marriage (nikah). Users who join for purposes other than halal matchmaking may have their accounts terminated.
Female users with a marital status of “Married” are not eligible to register. Male users who are currently married may seek to register if they are seeking a second wife in accordance with Islamic law.
2. Amanah & User Responsibility
Using Halal Harmony is an Amanah (trust). You are responsible for providing accurate information about yourself, including but not limited to your age, height, weight/body type, and general location (country, city). While you are not obligated to use your real name (aliases are permitted), misrepresentation of factual details is a violation of these Terms and Islamic ethics.
Halal Harmony does not independently verify all information provided by users. We provide reminders about Islamic guidelines and expect users to act with integrity. The platform is not liable for the accuracy of any user's profile or claims.
3. Acceptable Use
All communication on the platform must adhere to Islamic etiquette (adab). The following are strictly prohibited:
- Harassment, abusive language, or threatening behaviour
- Sexually explicit or suggestive content in profiles or messages
- Fraudulent profiles, catfishing, or impersonation
- Spam, commercial solicitation, or advertising
- Sharing personal contact details prematurely in violation of platform guidelines
After a period of genuine communication and when both parties are comfortable, users are free to take their conversations off the platform. We strongly encourage that the female user's Wali (guardian) is involved before this transition.
4. Wali (Guardian) Involvement
Female users are asked to provide the contact information of their Wali during onboarding. This information is stored privately and is never displayed publicly. Involving a Wali is an Islamic requirement and it is the user's personal responsibility to fulfil this obligation. The platform serves as a reminder and facilitator, not an enforcer.
5. Subscriptions & Payments
Halal Harmony offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Free accounts provide limited access to profiles and search. Premium subscriptions unlock full features including messaging, advanced search, and priority placement.
Subscriptions are processed through Stripe and billed on a recurring basis (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually) until cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact our support team for assistance.
6. Content Moderation
Messages and profile content are subject to automated and manual moderation to ensure compliance with Islamic guidelines. Flagged content is reviewed by human moderators. Halal Harmony reserves the right to remove content, issue warnings, restrict messaging, or terminate accounts for violations at its sole discretion.
7. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time. Halal Harmony also reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms, Islamic guidelines, or the spirit of the platform — including but not limited to fraudulent activity, harassment, or repeated moderation violations.
8. Limitation of Liability
Halal Harmony is a platform that facilitates introductions between Muslims seeking marriage. We do not take responsibility for:
- The accuracy or truthfulness of any user's profile information
- The outcome of any interactions, meetings, or marriages facilitated through the platform
- Any loss, damage, or harm arising from the use of the platform
Users are encouraged to exercise their own due diligence, seek counsel from family members and trusted advisors, and follow the guidance of the Quran and Sunnah in vetting a potential spouse.
9. Privacy
Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Contact
If you have any questions about these Terms, please reach out via our Contact page or email us at support@halalharmony.test.
